Piper McLean has a problem: her father is missing and this woman in her nightmares keeps telling her that she'll betray her friends. Leo Valdez would rather be fiddling with tools than learning about Greek gods. Not only that, but he can't seem to wrap his head around the fact that he's related to a god. The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan follows these three demigods, half mortal and half god, as they journey to new lands to save the Queen of the Gods from captivity.

This novel is perfect for fans of Greek mythology and fans of Percy Jackson. This is the first installment in the Heroes of Olympus series, which follows Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Riordan outdoes himself in this book with many action scenes and light humor. I really enjoyed this book and learning more about Camp Half-Blood and revisiting old characters.
