Everyday by David Levithan follows "A" who is constantly switching in and out of other people's bodies. Every morning "A" wakes up with a new family, new life, and new routine, unbeknownst to the person whose body is being taken over or the people around them. "A" has to navigate this and has gotten quite used to his routine, however one morning he wakes up in the body of teenage boy Justin. Justin is the careless toxic boyfriend of Rhiannon, a nice girl who just want to be loved. "A" throws away his belief in not getting attached to anyone and tries to swoon Rhiannon on a romantic day together. The hard part comes when the next morning "A" wakes up and he is not Justin. "A" does everything he can to find Rhiannon and be with her, but it's not so easy for either of them to accept these tough circumstances.
Personally, I thought this book was ok. While the general premise of the story is intriguing, it gets a bit repetitive over time. It also is somewhat upsetting as you just want "A" to have a normal life, but you know he can't. The second half of the book definitely picks up speed and even adds a flair of mystery and horror, but this can not make up for the beginning half that is somewhat boring to read. While I do think that this book could be really exciting for certain readers, it just wasn't really my thing.
