Animal Farm by George Orwell is a fictional story about animals on a farm that rebel against their tyrannical farmer. This book is an analogy to the Russian revolution. All the events in the book are based off of real events that occurred during and after the revolution. After the animals kick the farmer out, they want to start their own system for the farm. Three brave pigs named Napoleon, Snowball, and Squealer step up and decide to run the farm. Napoleon, the main leader of the three pigs, becomes a tyrannical leader. Unlike the farmer, Napoleon was a very capable, and strong leader and no one dared to oppose him. The poor state of the farm and the “political tension” eventually led to mass chaos and a lot of turbulent events.
Animal Farm is a great and interesting book. It puts the events of the Russian revolution in a simpler and humorous way. There is always something to keep the reader attached. The way the author also incorporates mystery makes the book more exciting. I would recommend this book to everyone because it is very informative, but at the same time, very exciting.
