This book is about a man who is looking for his daughter. She has become addicted to drugs, and after her boyfriend is killed, has gone missing. Simon and his wife, Ingrid, have taken the case and are trying to find their daughter. Meanwhile, there are a bunch of seemingly not connected murders occurring at the same time. There is also a private investigator on the case who is looking for her client’s missing son. The investigator has reason to believe that Simon’s daughter is involved in that case, too, and that she may be in danger. Simon and his wife have to work with multiple people, including drug dealers and police officers, in order to find their daughter before it is too late.

I really enjoyed this book. There are so many different characters and events that at first, you are left to wonder how everything is connected. However, as the book progresses, it is clear how everything is tied together. The author reveals details about the plot in such an exciting and interesting way. This book was full of surprises, and I especially loved the ending. It was so unexpected but it made sense with the events of the plot. Overall, this is one of the best books I have read in a while and I would strongly recommend it.
