You ascend the winding stone steps. Soon, a cold wind cuts through you. You emerge on top of the tower, the vast expanse of the Solean archipelago spreading as far as you can see. Light crosses from one tower to the next, connecting the islands together through the Home Tower.
"What you've accomplished is incredible," the woman of light says. "You've brought whole tribes together again, restarted the towers and brought balance. Your actions have laid a groundwork that will pave a new future for your people. By returning the scroll and allowing the Siblings of Light to protect this towers and the mega crystal, the balance in the unstable lava will return, and our lands will find peace but only if the one who accelerates the mega crystal is stopped.
"This is why the Voek came here," she continues. "They revered your ability to work together. The Voek believed that information can only take you so far. You must be able to understand other perspectives and learn from them if you wish to fully develop knowledge and wisdom."
She gestures across the horizon. "There is much more to see and discover in the islands beyond. If we are to be accepting of new changes in our world, then we can widen our perspective and understanding. Only then will we be prepared for what may come next.
"You must understand the importance of empathy and perspective," the woman of light adds, her voice tinged with a wistful note. "Once, I followed a poor well woman in a distant land. Day after day, she lowered her bucket into the well, raised it heavy with water, and delivered it to her customers, all for a paltry few gold pieces a year. It was a grueling task, too much for anyone to bear alone. I watched her toil from sunrise to sunset, her back bent with the weight of her burden.
"When the sun set, I followed her to her humble home. There, she cooked a simple meal for her four children. I saw how they ate quickly, their hunger never truly satisfied. Her life was filled with hardship and sacrifice, yet she faced each day with unwavering resolve. Though I felt great empathy for her noble, hardworking spirit, I was not permitted not intervene in that land. It pained me to witness her struggle, but it taught me the importance of understanding and of helping those you can around you when the opportunity arises.
"Take your time and decide," she says, turning back to you. "But if you leave for this last quest to save Solea, know that you may not be able to return—and in time there are many dangers you will face."
The weight of her words settles over you as you look out over the horizon, the endless possibilities and challenges of the world beyond calling to you.
In "The World Beyond" the advice that you need to have a wider perspective and you need to see things from other peoples viewpoint was given. Write a paragraph as an assignment of when you have done that. When have you walked in someone else's shoes? What did you learn when you did that.
