E1Q2
An Unexpected Welcome
With the doors finally open, you walk about the crystal at the tower's center, expecting to find Richalt's sprite companion, Ivy. But she's not in the main hall. Instead, over the pedestal, you see a boy, but he's no ordinary child. He's at least six feet tall and made completely of light. His form shimmers, casting soft, radiant beams in all directions, illuminating the chamber with a warm, ethereal glow. His features are delicate and otherworldly, with translucent skin that seems to flicker like a candle flame. His eyes, though glowing pools of light, convey a sense of sadness and confusion. Around him, an aura of sparkling particles hovers, resembling stardust that gently sways with his movements.
He bends down to look at you. "Hello? Is someone there? I can't see you."
His voice is melodic and echoes softly around the room, like a distant song carried by the wind. Setting aside your confusion as best you can, you ask him what happened. The boy says he doesn't remember, only that he's lost his sight.
"Will you ask the stars to help?" he says. "If you follow them, they can help me see again."
You notice that as he speaks, tiny motes of light drift from his body, resembling stars themselves, floating gently before fading into the air. You ask questions to try to understand what that means, or who he is and where he comes from, but you come up empty-handed. The boy's answers are vague, filled with fragmented memories and half-remembered dreams.
"Where are you from?" you ask.
The boy's light dims slightly, as if he is trying to remember. "I... I think I come from a place beyond the stars. A realm of light and dreams. But it's all so hazy now. I feel like I've been here for so long that I've forgotten."
"Are you Voek?" you inquire.
His glowing eyes widen slightly, then narrow in thought. "Voek? I don't think so. I know of them, but I don't feel like one of them. My essence feels different, older, like I belong to another time, another world."
"Why has this tower appeared?" you press further.
The boy looks around, his light flickering as he struggles to recall. "The tower... it was summoned. By something or someone. I remember a great need, a calling that drew me here. But the reason, it's just out of reach. Perhaps it's connected to why I can't see. Maybe the stars hold the answers we seek."
You try to piece together the fragmented clues, but the boy's answers only deepen the mystery. The tower's origin, the boy's identity, and the connection to the stars remain elusive. Yet, you feel a growing determination to help him and uncover the secrets hidden within the tower.
Promising you'll do your best to help him, you venture farther inside the tower. In this quest, enter 5 questions you would ask the boy in Thy Quests below that make evoke better responses.Â
