In Classcraft, you get to pick your character type....Guardian, Mage, or Healer.....by examining their distinct powers. Guardians are warriors and defend and absorb damage, Mages use crystals to power their team and to solve puzzles, and Healers restore health and morale and save the team from falling. All the characters have unique abilities that will impact your classroom life. Check out the details below to compare each character's abilities before embarking on your classroom adventure!

Invisibility.
A player can leave the room for up to 3 minutes 1 A break Unlocks at level 1
Forage.
A player can eat in class. 1 Eating plus 10 xp Unlocks at level 2
Sainthood.

"Your words carry power so use them wisely." Kudos is a sacred rite of encouragement. Once per day, you may send a short, positive, and specific message to celebrate a classmate’s actions, character, or contribution. When your words uplift, you are rewarded with +10 XP or GP...a token of the power of kindness.
But beware: if you misuse this power...by sending vague, negative, or inappropriate messages....you will lose 2 hearts and be penalized -100 XP. Misuse betrays the spirit of the realm, and the consequences are swift.
Be sincere. A great Kudos might say: "Thank you Aarav for helping me in math group task...you made a difference!"
You can only use Kudos once per day.
Keep it short: 10 words or 75 characters max.
Speak with heart. The magic will follow.

The Guardian can eliminate a question from a test.

Four Quests
With Four Quests, the Guardian gains four answers from any Classcraft quests. Use this power wisely to complete an episode early.

Guard 2.
The Guardian can protect a teammate
up to 3 hearts
Unlocks at level 10
2 3 Hearts and 100 XP
The Valedictorian-"High honours yield high rewards." The Guardian can change their next grade into GP

.5 -3 Hearts + GP
Frontal Assault 2.
The Guardian's teammates can all hand in
an assignment one day late. 4 -1 Heart + 200 XP Unlocks at level 14
Leech. Forged in the poisonous mists of the Bordrad Marshes, the Leech just as the Leech Clan, steals a share of all trade for 24 hours, feeding off the markets. Unlocks at level 15
2 -1 Heart + 100 XP and Siphon 1% of all trade volume for 24 hours
Training. The Guardian will spend a week at training camp building skill and getting stronger. No activity or powers can be used for one week.
Unlocks at level 16
3 - 3 hearts + 400 xp
Leadership. Work with all 3 Classcraft classes in your team. If all three use their powers for others after activation in one lesson you will receive a leadership award. Unlocks at level 18

Defense of the Castle.
The Guardian's Teammates can all
eliminate a question on a test.
Unlocks at level 20
4 1 less question
Shield of Ridoan. (must be pressed on 1st day of the week) A guardian can sacrifice his hearts for a week's protection for his team from harm in daily events and will allow anyone who falls in battle that week to choose their own consequence ( except "no consequence befalls you") Unlocks at level 22
2 -4 hearts , gain 1 week's protection for the whole team + 50 xp
Guard All.
The Guardian grants everyone on their
team 3 hearts except themselves as they lose 5 hearts.
Unlocks at level 24
3 Adds three Hearts to team +200 xp but loses 5 hearts
Guardian Battle. A guardian may call out any other Guardian on another team for a battle. The winning Guardian will get 300xp the losing Guardian will suffer -4 heart loss.
Unlocks at level 26
3 Win = +300xp , Lose - 4 Hearts. Can be blocked by Guard 2
Secret Weapon.
Before an exam, project or test, the Guardian can
use this power to gain an extra 10%. 4 Plus 10% Unlocks at level 28

Max 8 Hearts
Max 5 Crystals
(plus 1 at level 15 and plus 2 at level 25)

Heal 1.
All teammates and the healer gains 2 hearts.
Unlocks at level 2
2 2 Hearts +50 xp
Respite.
The healer can return to the village for the
week and a random player is chosen again.
Unlocks at level 4
2 No Work
Ardent Faith.
During a test or task, the healer can ask
the Gamemaster if their answer
to a question is correct.
Unlocks at level 6
2 Check Work
Revive
The Healer brings one fallen teammate back from the brink.
Restores them to 1 heart and removes all penalties caused by death, including the consequence lock.
This power is only usable after a teammate has fallen.
Unlocks at Level 8.
2 Team Health +150 xp
Bend Time
Use powers and crystals to shorten the maturation date of a Treasury Bill by 7 days.
Unlocks at Level 9

Favour of the Gods.
The healer can listen to their own
music during class. Unlocks at level 10
2 Own Music
Medivac. The healer can switch teams with another healer on the first day of the month.
Unlocks at level 12
2 - 2 hearts + Change of team
Herbalist. The healer uses experience and a knowledge of plants to transmute a regular KCE crystal into two green crystals.
Unlocks at level 14
1.5 -50 xp + 2 Green Crystals (one today and one the next day)
Manipulator. Through subtle distortions in the Etherian web, the Healer draws 5 Red Crystals into a hidden dimension, vanishing them from the world for a single day. Markets strain, scarcity reigns, and fortune shifts until reality inevitably snaps back. Unlocks at level 15
2 - 2 hearts Lowers Global Red Crystal Supply for 24 Hours
Heal 2.
A teammate or the healer gains 5 Hearts.
Unlocks at level 16
2 5 Hearts +100 xp
Medical Intervention. The Healer can block any daily event for themself or another player that involves hearts. Unlocks at level 18
3 Blocks heart loss or gain. +250 xp
Healing Circle.
All teammates other than the Healer
gain 3 health.
Unlocks at level 20
3 Team Hearts +200 xp
Médecins Sans Frontières. The Healer can
heal the player with the lowest health on
any team.
Unlocks at level 22
3 5 health to the lowest or 2 health to all equal lowest +300xp
Heal 3.
A teammate gains full health. Unlocks at level 24
3 Team Hearts +250 xp
Rejuvenation. The Healer prescribes sunlight and recreation. They release the class to be healed 10 minutes early. Must be pressed before 30 minutes of day's end. Unlocks at level 26
4 10 minutes early dismissal
Prayer.
During an exam, the healer has access to
their own notes or online records.

The Call.
The Mage can ask a friend for help,
any one question, even during tests.

Teleport.
The mage can bring another player for benefit or for loss.

Mana Shield.
The Mage grants themselves a shield
to prevent heart loss.

Secret.
An action no one but you will know happens.
Ask the gamemaster once pressed.
Unlocks at level 12
2 Secret benefit but -4 hearts and - secret impact if secret power is exposed.
Assassinate. The Mage will select a random player to assassinate if they are not found in 24 hours then the Mage gets a reward but beware if they find you, you lose another heart. Unlocks at level 14
1 -1 heart but + 0.5crystal from victim +50Gp if successful - a second heart if you lose
Heart of Words. The Mages of Crystal Quay and Zouken Monastery have long believed that words hold elemental power. Harness the ancient magic of Karaz to send words of power, inspiring up to ten acts of kindness. Unlocks at level 15
Free -2 Hearts Can send 10 Kudos in 24 hours and choose either XP or GP each time.
Clairvoyance.
All of the team members get a hint
on an exam question. Unlocks at level 16

Cheat Death.
The Mage enables one fallen teammate
to get a different random pledge. Unlocks at level 20
2 Avoid Pledges +100xp
The Syphon. The Mage can syphon off .25 off each player from another team's daily crystals. Unlocks at level 22
Free -5 Hearts but steals 1.25 crystals gains 50 xp
Time Warp. The mage gains the ability
to redo a test once the results are given.

Soothsayer. This power allows you to foretell the future. The Mage can look through the upcoming events and predict (choose) the event for the next day. Unlocks at level 26

Crystal Mana Fountain. A teammate who
isn't a mage replenishes all their crystals.

All team members are enveloped in the
Time Warp.

4 Whole team can redo a Test
Once a character reaches Level 30, their journey as a Guardian, Mage, or Healer is complete. Using the ancient magic of the Voek they ascend....shedding their former identity, no longer bound by class or gender, and stepping into the realm of myth. From Level 31 to 36, players take on the mantle of one of six Ascended Characters, each a legendary force whose powers echo through the world.
These Ascended do not gain powers....they are powers. With each new level and episode completed, they unlock permanent enhancements and active perks that remain in play at all times. These aren’t just abilities......they are transformations. The game bends around their presence. The rules shift. The battlefield changes.
To ascend is not to continue the journey, it is the purpose of the journey.
