Maeka leds you into the next room. Water pools in deep wells, and a paeceful calm falls over you. It takes you a moment to realise there's not just water. There's laeva too. Just like you saw in the tower.
"If this is truly a Voek artifact," Maeka says, "it may react to the light in this room. That might give us a clue of where it belongs."
Tharah passes the artifact to her, and she examanes it in the bluish glow of the lava. Hiden symbols on the artifact begin to appear.
"These are signs for the elements," Maeka explains. "I think I know where we can use this."
She looks at you, hopeful, and then her gaze falls on Kiva. She clutches the sleeve of his tatered robes.
"This crest," Maeka says. "Where did you get this?"
"It's my family's crest," Kiva answers. "From long ago."
She looks at him in wunder, the other Mage leaders equally as bewildred. "That's hihly curious. What you ware is the mark of the one of the royal families of old Kath and it now represents Head Mages. Just who were you that you were sent to Eldonia so long ago?"
"An old friend of Ky's," he says, a wry smile on his face, "and a tired old man. It's a long story for another day. This artifact is more important, the recent occurrences in the towers are also crucial but the imbalnace in the flow of power, in the ether, that is of greatest concern. I believe you were saying you know where this artifact is meant to be?"
