Drue's griffon treads a path through the forest, navigating easily in the darkness. The moon is just bright enough to avoid stumbling over any roots or fallen branches.

You stop before a ridge of earth and rock — or at least that's what it appears to be at first glance. Then you see glimmering blue markings among the jagged slopes and edges.

"These are Voek ruins," Drue says. They almost look like normal cliffs. You would have missed them from afar.

"My people have studied the Voek for countless generations," Drue says. "When they lived here, on Karaz Island, this is where they made their home."

He leads you towards the ruins. The ruins are cavernous and damp and you can see they lead underground and almost immediately you hear a crash from farther ahead. Chills tingle down your back.

"We're not alone," Haden says, the Guardian activating her shield and sneaking off ahead into the dark.

"Wait for us," Alster whisper-yells, the healer rushing to catch up with her. But when you turn the corner, your foot catches on something. You're all pulled high into the air, tangled in a cloth ball and surrounded by a net!

Below you stand two cloaked figures, arms full of some sort of crystals, one of them glows a bright yellow hue and you don't know how but you are sure its the memory shard once hidden at Ky's hut.

"Stop!" Maeka says, but the bandits are already dashing away from the ruins and mount a waiting griffon that soars into the air. 

"Mages, stealing artifacts, ridding griffons, endangering children! This is all quite unheard of." Maeka declares while struggling to find an opening in the ball. 

"I don't think anyone here classifies as a child thank you very much," You respond indignantly while also looking for a way to struggle out. Talik can't resist the dig and joins in, "She has a point, you are only 15 you know." 

You grunt and fire back, "Well get us out of here if you are so clever, oh great and elderly mage."

Haden had already began cutting at the cloth and rope of the trap was ever direct and says, "Alright, let's focus and get out of here and see if the thieves left anything in the ruins."
