Zelnard of Karaz was only thirteen when the world first began to test him....an orphan raised among stone halls and stern Mage elders at the Zouken Monastery, where discipline was prized and mercy was scarce. He was sharp-tongued, stubborn, and far too talented for his own good, wielding water magic with a natural instinct that both impressed and unsettled those meant to teach him.
