You arrive at the Cave of Heroes, a vast, echoing cavern filled with ancient relics and artifacts from ages past. Talik steps forward and summons a sprite, a small, ethereal creature that flits around the cave with a curious green glow and came to rest in Talik's hand.
"What in this great cave could a hero use to battle the Witch of the Water?" Talik asks the sprite.
The sprite known as Heroa, hovers thoughtfully before responding. "Water can extinguish fire, so a hero's lava sword would be useless. Perhaps the ropes of sand could tie her down... no, no, water would turn sand into mud, making it ineffective. The flames of the Phoenix Torch might burn brightly, but against a Water Witch, it would be snuffed out in an instant. The Wind Blades are powerful, but air can be deflected by water's surface tension."
The sprite's eyes widen as it continues, "Only a shield crystal held by a warrior and used the right way, combined with a healer's incantation of warmth and heat to evaporate water, and a mage's use of light darts—light can penetrate water—those combined could defeat the Witch of the Water. But only the shield crystal is available here in the Cave of Heroes."
Haden reaches out and retrieves the shield crystal, its surface shimmering with a faint glow. "Alster, what do we need to cast the warmth and heat incantation?" "We'll need to circle the Home Tower to cast the warmth incantation, its the action of circumambulation that can bring its power." Alster responds. "But I must warn you I am not accustomed to using powers for destruction and I may not be the right person for this task, warmth and heat is supposed to be used to heal."
"I am sure you will be inspired by the moment," Haden adds, "that is how it works for me anyway. Then Talik can summon the light darts," she continued.
"Uh, sure but I don't know how to summon light darts." Talik pointed out. You all look at Heroa with raised eyebrows.
"Light Darts are a Mages weapon. The can be summoned by using this incantation." And with that Heroa directs Talik to a scroll that sits high on a shelf in the cave. Talik unrolls the scroll and reads the rhyming incantation aloud:
"Light of day, fierce and bright,
Guide our path and lend your might.
Pierce the dark, unveil the night,
Darts of light, in battle ignite."
The words echo through the cave, filling the air with a sense of purpose and determination. The heroes prepare to leave, knowing their journey will take them to the Home Tower to complete the incantations and summon the light darts and dispatch the Witch of the Water, at least that was the plan.
With the shield crystal in hand, Haden, Talik, Alster, Drue and you set out to circle the Home Tower, your hearts steeled for the battles ahead. You move with purpose, understanding the gravity of your mission and the unity required to succeed.
The Heroes were so excited that they neglected to ask the sprite a crucial question. Based on the text, what is that question?
