E8Q1 The Siblings of Light
You arrive on the south side of the Central Island and set down on one of the very few large green fields in this strange, rocky landscape. The air is crisp, carrying the scent of unfamiliar flowers and distant seas. Alster was his typical self, very excited about new plants and life he had never encountered. In the distance, a place the riders described as Home Tower rises, surrounded by a thick growth of purple lava and a violent sea. At its top, a beacon shines with a brilliant purple light, casting an eerie yet enchanting glow over the field. Even in the daylight you can see the bright beams of light coming in from around Solea and arriving at the top of Home Tower.
As you approach the a much smaller nearby tower and the details become clearer. The structure is ancient, its stone walls etched with intricate carvings that seem to pulse with energy. You walk through the heavy wooden doors into the entryway, where the four Siblings of Light stand waiting, their faces serene but serious. You recount your ordeal on the Islands of Vay, the Witch of the Water, and present the ancient parchment containing her message.
The siblings step forward and gather around a pedestal in the center of the tower. They begin to read the symbols on the scroll and chant, their voices blending into a harmonic and melodic hum that resonates through the stone walls. As their chant grows in intensity, the very lava that flows around the islands seems to pulse and shift in rhythm with their voices. The sight is mesmerizing, filling you with awe and a sense of otherworldly power.
"This tower is once again protected for now," the woman of light says, her voice gentle yet firm. "But the Witch of the Water seeks to take the mega shield shard that sits in the Home Tower, the source of all teleportation and energy in our islands and use its power for her selfish designs. We thank you for everything you've done to bring us and your tribes together. Now that we have some power, we can open the way forward but be warned it may not last for long."
Before you can ask what she means, she meets your gaze and continues, "There are two things you must do now. The scroll we have just used is powerful but in the wrong hands the powers of the Voek can be used against the good. It must be stored in the Dark Library. You will take it there. The second thing is something we must show you. Please, come with me."
Soera bids you farewell, needing to return to Vay on the evening winds and you thank her for her help. You join Talik and Alster, and follow the siblings up a set of marble-like stairs realising that she doesn't have to walk and she is just doing this for you. You stop halfway up and look out a window of the siblings tower and the vista is amazing with the rocks and water supporting the massive structure in the center. The Home Tower feels both familiar and strange. "I've seen that tower before," you say to Talik and Alster. "You remember visiting it in your dreams before you had ever heard of the Voek Island in the ocean. Back then, many things were unknown to you, so many secrets just beyond your reach, but you have learned so much and realise you must share your knowledge to protect all of Solea. You can see yourself writing for hours for the Tome of Knowledge once this is all over.
For now, the moment has come to uncover those answers. The air is thick with anticipation as you ascend, each step bringing you closer to the revelations that await behind the ancient doors.
In this episode the Siblings of Light used sound to have a physical impact on the real world. Is this possible? Can sound effect matter? List 2 examples of this happening in Thy Quests to move on.
