Il Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü Erkek Basketbol Takımı è una società di pallacanestro di Istanbul, facente parte della polisportiva Besiktas Jimnastik Kulubu.
Il club cestistico viene fondato nel 1933 e dal 1940 ha sempre militato nella massima divisione turca con l'eccezione della stagione 1988-89. Fino agli anni recenti il club non aveva raccolto grandi successi, affermandosi come campione di Turchia una sola volta nel 1975.
Il club non riuscì ad affermarsi nemmeno in campo europeo, toccando il suo massimo risultato con i quarti di finale in Coppa Korac ed in ULEB Cup.
Il nome del Besiktas inizia ad essere famoso in Europa e nel mondo quando ingaggia Allen Iverson per la stagione 2010-2011. Nonostante il clamore suscitato dall'acquisto, “The Answer” non darà l'apporto sperato e la stagione si concluderà senza titoli.
La stagione seguente i bianconeri ci riprovano, mettendo sotto contratto Deron Williams, fino al termine del lockout NBA 2011-12, ancora senza ottenere risultati. Per il campionato successivo il coach Ergin Ataman decide di rivoluzionare la squadra, riuscendo a creare un team solido e forte, senza rinunciare al talento di giocatori come Carlos Arroyo, David Hawkins e Marcelus Kemp.
Al termine della stagione il club completa uno strepitoso "Grand Slam" vincendo tutti e tre i trofei a cui ha preso parte, cioè il campionato turco, la coppa di Turchia e la coppa europea Eurochallenge, divenendo la seconda squadra turca di sempre ad affermarsi in una competizione europea. La fame di vittorie non finisce qui, ed anche il campionato 2012-13 inizia con un nuovo trofeo conquistato, la prima Coppa del Presidente della storia del club.
Gioca le partite casalinghe alla BJK Akatlar Arena (3.500 posti) ed ha anche una squadra femminile.

Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü Erkek Basketbol Takımı is a basketball club from Istanbul, part of the sports club Besiktas Jimnastik Kulubu.
The basketball club was founded in 1933 and since 1940 has always played in the Turkish top division with the exception of the 1988-89 season. Until recent years, the club had not achieved great success, establishing itself as the Turkish champion only once in 1975.
The club did not even succeed in the European field, reaching its maximum result with the quarterfinals in the Korac Cup and ULEB Cup.
The name of the Besiktas begins to be famous in Europe and around the world when it hires Allen Iverson for the 2010-2011 season. Despite the uproar aroused by the purchase, "The Answer" will not give the contribution hoped for and the season will end without titles.
The following season the black and white team tried again, signing Deron Williams, until the end of the NBA lockout 2011-12, still without results. For the coming season, coach Ergin Ataman decided to revolutionize the team, managing to create a solid and strong group, without giving up the talent of players such as Carlos Arroyo, David Hawkins and Marcelus Kemp.
At the end of the season the club completes an amazing "Grand Slam" winning all three trophies in which it took part: the Turkish Championship, the Turkish Cup and the European Cup Eurochallenge, becoming the second Turkish team ever to establish itself in a European competition.
The hunger for victories does not end here, and even the 2012-13 season begins with a new trophy won, the first President’s Cup in the history of the club.
Home games are played at the BJK Akatlar Arena (3.500 seats) and also a women’s team is part of this Turkish club.
