L'Hapoel Gerusalemme B.C. è una società polisportiva di Gerusalemme, fondata nel 1943. L'Hapoel Gerusalemme comprende anche l’Hapoel Gerusalemme FC, squadra di calcio.
Il club ha fatto la sua prima apparizione nella Israeli Basketball Premier League nel 1955 restandoci fino alla fine degli anni ’60 e alternando, invece, alti e bassi, con retrocessioni nella categoria inferiore nei due decenni successivi.
Ha vinto una Uleb Cup nel 2003-04, battendo in finale a Charleroi il Real Madrid, e due campionati israeliani, nel 2015 e 2017, oltre a varie coppe nazionali.
Nel 2016 l’ex star NBA Amar’e Stoudemire ha firmato un contratto biennale con la squadra, contribuendo alla conquista della coppa di lega nello stesso anno e alla vittoria del secondo titolo nazionale conquistato dal club, nella stagione successiva.
La “Brigata Malcha” è il gruppo organizzato degli ultras dell’Hapoel, collocata dietro il canestro di casa nella vecchia arena, ora occupa i settori 1 e 12 nel nuovo palazzetto e negli anni ha sviluppato una grande rivalità con il Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Dal 2014 disputa le partite interne nella moderna Jerusalem Arena con ha una capacità di 11.000 spettatori mentre precedentemente il palazzetto utilizzato era la Malha Arena che aveva una capienza ben più limitata (3.000 posti).

Hapoel Jerusalem B.C. is a multi-sports society of Jerusalem, founded in 1943. Hapoel Jerusalem also includes Hapoel Jerusalem FC, football team.
The club made its first appearance in the Israeli Basketball Premier League in 1955, remaining there until the late ‘60s and alternating ups and downs, with relegations to the lower category over the following two decades.
It won the Uleb Cup in 2003-04, beating Real Madrid in the final in Charleroi, and two Israeli championships in 2015 and 2017, as well as several national cups.
In 2016, former NBA star Amar'e Stoudemire signed a two-year contract with the team, helping to win the league cup in the same year and the club’s second national title in the following season.
The "Malcha Brigade" is the organized group of the Hapoel ultras, located behind the home basket in the old arena, now occupies sectors 1 and 12 in the new building and over the years has developed a great rivalry with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Since 2014 it has played its home games in the modern Jerusalem Arena with a capacity of 11.000 spectators while previously the home court was the Malha Arena which had a much smaller capacity (3.000 seats).
