Strasburgo Illkirch-Graffenstaden Basket, più comunemente noto come SIG Basket o SIG Strasburgo, ha sede a Strasburgo, città francese vicino al confine tedesco. Il club compete a livello nazionale nella Pro A League francese e a livello internazionale nella Basketball Champions League.
E’ stato fondato nel 1929 ed ha raggiunto il massimo livello del basket francese per la prima volta nel 1938.
Nella stagione 2004/05 Strasburgo ha vinto la Lega francese battendo il suo rivale SLUC Nancy 72-68.
Questa è nota come la “rivalità orientale” (le due città distano pochissimo l’una dall’altra).
Nella stagione 2005/06, Strasburgo ha giocato in Eurolega. La squadra ha avuto alcuni risultati eccezionali, battendo, ad esempio, il Saski Baskonia. Nella Pro A, la squadra fu sconfitta da Nancy 1-2 in semifinale.
Nella stagione 2006/07, SIG non raggiunse più dei quarti di finale. Dopo alcuni anni bui, la squadra ha iniziato a riprendersi quando Vincent Collet ha assunto il ruolo di capo allenatore nel 2012. La squadra ha raggiunto le finali Pro A per tre anni consecutivi nel 2013, 2014, 2015. Oltre a questo ha vinto la Coppa dei Leader 2015 e la Coppa di Francia 2014/15.
Nel 2020, Collet lasciò la squadra dopo aver lavorato come allenatore per quasi un decennio.
Il Rhenus Sport da 6.200 posti è da molti anni l'arena di casa della SIG. Nel gennaio 2017, il club ha annunciato i suoi piani di costruzione per una nuova arena che sarà terminata nel 2020, che ospiterà 10.000 persone. Successivamente la data è stata corretta per l'anno 2024.

Strasbourg Illkirch-Graffenstaden Basket, most commonly known as SIG Basket or SIG Strasbourg, is based in Strasbourg, French town near the German border. The club competes domestically in the French Pro A League, and internationally in the Basketball Champions League.
The club was founded in 1929 and reached the top-tier of French basketball for the first time in 1938.
In the 2004/05 season Strasbourg won the French League beating its rival SLUC Nancy 72–68.
As a matter of fact this is known as the Eastern Rivalry (the two town are very close each other).
In the 2005/06 season, Strasbourg played in the Euroleague. The team had some outstanding results, as they beat top-tier team Saski Baskonia. In the Pro A, the team was defeated by Nancy 1–2 in the semi-finals.
In the 2006/07 season, the team wouldn't reach further than the quarterfinals. After some down years, the team started to revive when Vincent Collet took over as head coach in 2012. The team reached the Pro A Finals for three straight years in 2013, 2014, 2015. Along with that, the team won the 2015 Leaders Cup and 2014/15 French Basketball Cup.
In 2020, Collet left the team after he had served as head coach for almost a decade.
The 6.200 seat Rhenus Sport has been used as the home arena of SIG for many years. In January 2017, the club announced their building plans for a new arena that is to be finished in 2020, that will accommodate 10.000 people. Later the date was corrected to the year 2024.
