L'União Desportiva Oliveirense , comunemente noto come Oliveirense Basquetebol o semplicemente Oliveirense , ha sede a Oliveira de Azemeis, 50km a sud di Porto.
Nata nel 1922 dallo scioglimento dell'ARCA (Associação Recreativa e Cultural de Azeméis), l' Oliveirense basket nel 1989 ha partecipato al campionato di terza divisione, vincendo immediatamente il titolo di categoria e arrivando in pochissimo tempo a competere con squadre più blasonate nel massimo campionato nazionale.
In campo europeo ha partecipato ai turni preliminari della Coppa Korac nella stagione 1995/96 e nel 2003/04 alla FIBA Europe League.
In Portogallo, invece, è solo negli anni 2000 che arriva finalmente ad ottenere successi significativi, culminati con i due scudetti vinti consecutivamente nel 2018 e nel 2019 sconfiggendo nelle finali prima il Porto e l’anno seguente il Benfica. Oltre a questi titoli la squadra ha vinto una Coppa del Portogallo, due volte la Supercoppa portoghese e quattro volte la Coppa di Lega.
Le partite casalinghe si disputano al Pavilhão Dr. Salvador Machado che può contenere 4.500 spettatori.

União Desportiva Oliveirense , commonly known as Oliveirense Basquetebol or simply Oliveirense, is based in Oliveira de Azemeis, 50km south of Porto.
Born in 1922 from the dissolution of the ARCA (Associação Recreativa and Cultural de Azeméis), Oliveirense basketball in 1989 participated in the third division championship, immediately winning the title of category and arriving in no time to compete with the most famous teams in the main national championship.
In the European field the club participated in the preliminary rounds of the Korac Cup in the 1995/96 season and in 2003/04 at the FIBA Europe League.
In Portugal, however, it was only in the 2000s that it finally achieved significant successes, culminating with the two championships won consecutively in 2018 and 2019 by defeating in the finals first Porto and in the following year Benfica. In addition to these titles the team won a Portuguese Cup, twice the Portuguese Supercup and four times the League Cup.
The home matches are held at the Pavilhão Dr. Salvador Machado which can hold 4.500 spectators.
