Il Maccabi Rishon LeZion B.C. è una società sportiva di Rishon Lezion, località che dista una ventina di chilometri da Tel Aviv.
Fondata nel 1953 il Maccabi Rishon LeZion comprende altre sezioni attive nella pallamano e nel badminton.
E’uno dei club più popolari in Israele e dalla stagione 1988-89 è nella massima serie nelle stagioni immediatamente successive è spesso arrivato alla finale del campionato, forte di giocatori come Berkovich, Aroesti e l’ex star della NBA Gene Banks.
Nel 2016 ha vinto il suo unico scudetto del campionato israeliano e nel 2019 la Israeli Basketball League Cup.
Ha partecipato alle competizioni europee senza però mai ottenere risultati di rilievo.
Disputa le partite interne nel Maccabi Rishon Lezion Arena, che ha una capacità di 2.500 spettatori; tra questi il “Gush D”, il gruppo organizzato dei tifosi che prende il nome dalla loro sezione di posti a sedere nella vecchia arena del club, Gan Nahum, un palazzetto polivalente con 1.500 posti a sedere. Dalla sua apertura nel 1986 e fino all'apertura del Bet Maccabi nel 2008, è stato il principale palazzetto dello sport della città.
Ha una sola tribuna, nel lato nord dell'edificio; nel piano superiore ci sono 1.000 posti a sedere, e nel piano inferiore (che è amovibile) ci sono 500 posti a sedere.
Attualmente ospita le partite casalinghe della squadra di basket femminile dell'Hapoel Rishon LeZion.
L’allenatore del club, Guy Goodes è stato recentemente nominato allenatore della nazionale maschile israeliana.

Maccabi Rishon Lezion B.C. is a sports club of Rishon Lezion, a town about twenty kilometers from Tel Aviv.
Founded in 1953, the Maccabi Rishon Lezion includes other sections active in handball and badminton.
It is one of the most popular clubs in Israel and since the 1988-89 season is in the top teams in the immediately following seasons has often arrived at the league finals, having great players such as Berkovich, Aroesti and former NBA star Gene Banks.
In 2016 the team won its only Israeli championship title and in 2019 the Israeli Basketball League Cup.
Rishon took part in European competitions but never achieved significant results.
It plays its home games in the Maccabi Rishon Lezion Arena, which has a capacity of 2.500 spectators, including the "Gush D", the organised fan group who took its name from their section of seats in the old arena of the club, Gan Nahum, a multipurpose arena with 1.500 seats.
Since its opening in 1986 and until the opening of Bet Maccabi in 2008, it has been the main sports hall in the city.
It has only one grandstand, on the north side of the building; on the upper floor there are 1.000 seats, and on the lower floor (which is removable) there are 500 seats.
It currently hosts the home games of the Hapoel Rishon Lezion women’s basketball team.
Maccabi Rishon head coach, Guy Goodes, was recently named head coach of the Israeli men’s national team.
