I Guangdong Hongyuan Southern Tigers o Guangdong Southern Tigers , noti anche come Guangdong Dongguan Bank per motivi di sponsorizzazione sono nati nel 1993 e sono la squadra principale (Team 1) del Guangdong Southern Tigers Basketball Club, il primo club di basket professionistico di proprietà privata (non governativa) in Cina.
Oltre alla squadra 1, il club ha tre squadre di riserva (squadre giovanili): la squadra 2 (con sede a Guangzhou), la squadra 3A (anche questa con sede a Guangzhou) e la squadra 3B (con sede a Dongguan). Queste squadre di riserva sono amministrate congiuntamente dal club e dall'Ufficio sportivo provinciale del Guangdong.
I Tigers hanno vinto undici titoli CBA, più di qualsiasi altra squadra del campionato. Sono anche l'unica squadra ad essersi qualificata per i playoff CBA in ogni stagione da quando il campionato è stato lanciato nel 1995.

Guangdong Hongyuan Southern Tigers or Guangdong Southern Tigers , also known as Guangdong Dongguan Bank for sponsorship reasons, were born in 1993 and are the main team (Team 1) of the Guangdong Southern Tigers Basketball Club, the first privately owned (non-governmental) professional basketball club in China.
In addition to Team 1, the club has three reserve teams (youth teams): Team 2 (based in Guangzhou), Team 3A (also based in Guangzhou) and Team 3B (based in Dongguan). These reserve teams are administered jointly by the club and the Guangdong Provincial Sports Office.
The Tigers have won eleven CBA titles, more than any other team in the league. They are also the only team to have qualified for the CBA playoffs in each season since the championship was launched in 1995.
The team plays its home games at the Dongguan Basketball Center (16.300 seats). Occasionally, for marketing purposes, the team plays some of its home games in Zhongshan, Zhuhai and other cities in the Pearl River Delta.
