Nati come Port of Antwerp Giants o più semplicemente Racing Basket Antwerp nel 1995, gli Antwerp Giants hanno assunto questa denominazione nel 2005 dopo la fusione del Sobabee e del Racing Mechelen.
Nella stagione 1998-99 hanno partecipato per la prima volta al massimo campionato belga e nella stagione successiva ha vinto il suo unico scudetto battendo Ostenda in finale.
Nel suo palmares anche quattro Coppe del Belgio e due Supercoppe nazionali.
Nella stagione 2018-19 il club è stato la sorpresa della Basketball Champions League, arrivando fino alle Final Four, disputate in casa, perdendo in semifinale con Tenerife e battendo il Bamberg nella finale per il terzo posto.
Fanno parte del club un’altra squadra maschile, che disputa il secondo campionato nazionale, ed una femminile che gioca nella categoria regionale.
Disputano le partite interne nella Lotto Arena, che ha una capacità di 5.500 spettatori; il 31 gennaio 2015 in occasione della partita contro lo Spirou Charleroi allo Sportpaleis ha avuto 17.135 spettatori, record per il campionato belga.

Born as the Port of Antwerp Giants or, simply, Racing Basket Antwerp in 1995, the Antwerp Giants took this name in 2005 after the merger of Sobabee and Racing Mechelen.
In the 1998-99 season they competed for the first time in the Belgian Championship and in the following season they won their only championship by beating Ostend in the final.
In its palmares also four Belgian Cups and two national Supercups.
In the 2018-19 season the club was the surprise of the Basketball Champions League, reaching the Final Four, played at home, losing in the semifinals with Tenerife and beating Bamberg in the final for third place.
Another men’s team, playing in the second national championship, and a women’s team playing in the regional category, are part of the club.
The Giants play their home games in the Lotto Arena, which has a capacity of 5.500 spectators; on 31 January 2015 in their match against Spirou Charleroi at Sportpaleis had 17.135 spectators, a record for the Belgian championship.
