L'Obradoiro Clube de Amigos do Baloncesto (abbreviato Obradoiro CAB) è una squadra fondata a Santiago di Compostela,in Galizia, nell'ottobre del 1970, iniziando a giocare nella terza serie spagnola dopo avere acquisito i diritti della sezione basket dell’ SD Compostela.
Il suo primo grande successo lo conseguì nel 1982, quando raggiunse la promozione nel massimo campionato spagnolo.
La stagione successiva, però, la squadra si classificò ultima con due vittorie e ventisei sconfitte, retrocedendo.
Il club è noto per essere stato promotore di una causa giudiziaria, durante la stagione 1989/90 della liga LEB, che sconvolse le sorti della squadra quando, durante il match di play-off promozione contro il CB Murcia, la squadra murciana fece scendere in campo Esteban Pérez, giocatore spagnolo con passaporto argentino. Il club, stando alle regole, non avrebbe dovuto farlo giocare e, da quel momento in poi, per la compagine galiziana cominciò una battaglia giudiziaria inedita per una competizione sportiva spagnola, giunta a conclusione solo nel 2009 con la riammissione nella massima divisione di pallacanestro spagnola.
Nel 2011 ha vinto il suo primo titolo nazionale, la Copa Principe de Asturias (competizione nazionale tra squadre militanti nella seconda serie spagnola) e ha ottenuto la promozione in liga ACB, dove è ormai presenza fissa.
Al termine della stagione 2012/13 il club è arrivato a disputare i playoff ma è stato eliminato ai quarti di finale dal Real Madrid.
La squadra disputa le partite interne nel Multiusos Fontes do Sar, che ha una capacità di 6.600 spettatori.

Obradoiro Clube de Amigos do Baloncesto (abbreviated Obradoiro CAB) is a basketball team founded in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, in October 1970, and began playing in the Spanish third division after acquiring the rights to the basketball section of SD Compostela.
Its first great success came in 1982, when it achieved promotion to the top Spanish league.
The following season, however, the team finished at the bottom place with two wins and twenty-six losses, relegating.
The club is known to have been the promoter of a lawsuit during the 1989/90 season of the LEB Liga, which upset the fortunes of the team when, during the promotion play-off match against CB Murcia, the Murciana team brought Esteban Pérez, Spanish player with Argentine passport.
The club, according to the rules, should not have let him play and, from that moment on, for the Galician team began an unprecedented judicial battle for a Spanish sports competition, it was not until 2009 that it was admitted to the top division of Spanish basketball.
