Window Gorge

Location:Window Gorge is the watercourse to the right of Skeleton Ravine, above the Kirstenbosch contour path.

Overview: The lower sections in the forest have pleasant pools,but the upper sections are a waterfall after rain, and this route is not suitable for the average hiker.

Time: 5hrs up, 2hrs down Skeleton or Nursery depending on party size

Route Description:
NB WARNING: Window Gorge is a roped rock climb (C/D grade) and can be very dangerous, especially in wet conditions. There have been fatalities on the upper sections. Unless you are an experienced rock climber, do not go any higher in the ravine than the lower sections above the contour path.
