Overview: Popular 'B' scramble route on Wood Buttress. with the equally popular Woody Ravine path to the right that can be used for the descent.
Route Description:
From the Camps Bay Rontree Estate parking in Theresa Avenue, follow the SAN Parks access road up to the Pipe Track. Continue right (South) looking for a metal sign plate on the ground showing the start. If you get to the Pole sign for Wood Ravine you have gone too far!
The main features of the route are shown in the slideshow, but there is a lot more scrambling, some of it tricky and requiring good balance and some arm strength. It is useful to have a short piece of rope to haul packs up the chimney pitch.
