Location: Devil's Peak, above Rhodes Memorial.
Overview: One of the most spectacular ridge climbs on the Table Mountain massif. A popular, classic B-grade scramble.
Route Description:
Starting from Rhodes Memorial, walk up to the King's Blockhhouse. Hiking in groups is recommended for safety, as there were a number of muggings in the area a few years ago.
The spectacular Mowbray Ridge climb ascends behind the blockhouse and passes an old outlook hut, leading to a very exposed knife-edge that reaches the Minor Peak next to Devil's Peak.
From there, you can either climb the upper section of the East Buttress or traverse west to the top of Oppelskop Ridge, where you will meet the standard path to the top of Devil's Peak, coming up from the Saddle.
