The Crusaders began to get the edge in play in the 2nd stanza the were awarded a free kick which Tornaritis blasted into low corner for the game winner. GD received great play from Matt Warren, Joey Zinkann, Nick Resca, Chase Herberich and Kevin Connerty. Algonquin drops to 5-4-2 while GD improve to 6-5-1 overall. GD travel to Westboro Thursday for a 4pm B league matchup with the Rangers.
Game MVP goes to: Matt Warren (Matt unselfishly asked to be the one senior that did not start so the 11 others of his senior teammates could enjoy their moment. Matt's play was certainly great last night and he deserves to be MVP for his play but it's his maturity, teamwork and intelligence that i admire. Unity is strength, when their is teamwork and collaboration wonderful things can be achieved. (Mattie Stepanek)
