Barre, MA - Quabbin's Phil Brooks got the Panthers on the board just 4th minutes into the contest when he re-directed a service into the with his chest that found the corner of the net. The Crusaders answered quickly when Matt Straw fed a ball in front to Sr. Matt Tornaritis who placed it past Panther Keeper Garrett Maggio to draw things even at 1-1. Six minutes later GD took the lead when Straw sent a great pass to the back post to Jr. Matt Krikorian who blasted it i the near post. GD took the lead into the break out shooting Quabbin 15-3. The Crusaders soon gained control of play and in the 62nd minute Jr. Gabe Dingle recieved a rebound close to goal and blasted it in the near post for the 3-1 lead. GD received great play from Sr. Tim Hilbrunner, Jr. Patrick Keating, Eric Niemoller and Keeper Chris Buzan. GD improve to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in Midland League play and will host Marlboro on Tuesday at 4pm. Quabbin fall to 0-1-2 overall and 0-1 in Midland B League play and will travel to Hudson next Tuesday.
