GD Defeats Blackson-Millvile 4-1

Sat 9/17 at Blackstone, Ma- Blackstone-Millville’s Jamison Lobisser broke in alone early in the first half but his shot hit the post and cradled the goal line before GD defender Adam Kmetz cleared the ball to safety. GD created continued pressure in the first half out shooting BMR 17-3 but could not penetrate the goal line and the game was 0-0 after 40 minutes. Crusader Sr. Ben Chilcoat opened the scoring at 45:20 when he broke down the end line from a corner kick and finished near post past BMR keeper Neal Pakuris for the 1-0 lead. Jr. Nate Pomeroy scored 2 minutes later when he broke in alone and in the 54^th minute. BMR scored an own goal after pressure from GD forward Kyle Romich. GD Nate Pomeroy broke in from a great feed from Sr. Kyle Romich and slotted the ball far post for the 4-0 lead. BMR broke onto the scoreboard in the 78^th minute when Lobisser broke in alone and beat GD keeper Jamie Bailey. GD improves its record to 4-0-0 overall and BMR drops to 2-1-1. GD host Westborough on Tuesday at 4pm. Today’s game MVP goes to Sr. back Jake Lilidahl.
