GD Continues to Roll

GDRHS- Groton, Ma – Sr. Alex Merlino converted in the 28^th minute on a great give and go with Sr. Kyle Romich and the Crusaders took the 1-0 lead. Prior to that in the 14^th minute Leominister’s Jerry Tanfu broke in alone but So. Keeper Jamie Bailey made the initial save and Jr. Adam Kmetz cleared it away to safety. Sr Kyle Romich add a goal before half time on a feed from Jr. Mike Keating and the Crusaders lead at the half 2-0. It took just 12 minutes to increase the lead as Kyle Romich finished from a Ben Chilcoat corner kick and the lead was 3-0. Then just 3 ½ minutes later Chris Mckinney heads home a great pass from Eric Stone and the score was extended to 4-0. Leominister Jerry Tanfu converted a penalty kick within the last three minutes and the final score ended 4-1. Groton Dunstable improves to 11-0-0 overall as Leominister falls to 0-9-0. GD travel to Westborough on Tuesday for a 4pm League game with a chance to defeat them and win the 2011 Midland Wachusett “B” League Title.
