2019 Fund Raising Information

It’s time to start thinking about the 2019 Soccer Program book. This is our 9th season with the book and it serves as both a “yearbook” and a fundraiser for the teams. Funds raised allow both the girls' and boys’ teams, at all levels, to benefit from upgrades beyond what the school’s athletic budget can support. In prior seasons the teams have purchased bench covers, socks, nets, balls, equipment & apparel not provided by the Athletic budget. In addition the teams are able to host the annual Varsity banquet/awards and jamboree, welcome international teams, secure turf time (in partnership with the Athletic Boosters) and so much more. This season you will already see new goal nets and flags on all of our soccer fields and new game socks for all of the girls’ and boys’ teams. More upgrades will come as the season progresses. Your efforts and generosity make this possible. Thank you!

In addition to raising funds, the book has become a fun tradition for the players. Each player will receive a full color 90+ page book. It’s always fun to watch them find their action shots and well wishes from family and friends. It’s our goal to have something for every player, both girls and boys, from each team. This is a big task and we could use some help in putting this all together. It would be great to have a point person for each team who can help us collect photos and family messages for that team. We are also recruiting photographers.

This year we will publish the book in conjunction with our banquet. For this reason, the deadline to submit all forms with ads / messages / artwork is September 20, 2019. It’s a big job to pull the book together and we really need your help in meeting the deadlines. Everyone who helps with this project is a volunteer and timing is always a challenge. If you would like help with your message, please let us know. We can put it together for you. We will send out reminders as the deadline approaches.

We encourage every player to get at least one ad. Sponsors don’t have to be local. Most times a business that your family supports is happy to sponsor the team by way of an “advertisement” or message. What an amazing book it will be if every player has at least one message from family/friends! Ads can be submitted electronically to Jackie Maguire at dmaguire5034@charter.net. It’s most helpful if the files are in .doc and that pictures are in .jpg (or equivalent) formats. We can also scan photos and business cards however these can come out a bit blurry. Please be careful not to fold or staple any original artwork that you want us to scan. Below is a link to the 2019 Sponsor Form that players and families should use to secure sponsors.
