GD improve to 10-2-2

Groton, Ma - Jr Dan McGuinness assisted on two goals in a four minute span to lead the Crusaders of Groton Dunstable to a 4-0 non league win over the Dracut Middies. Sr Morgan Manthous broke a scorless draw when he received a great pass to the back post from McGuinness and blasted it past Middie Keeper Ryan Fisher, 1-0. Moments later McGuinness broke down the end line and send a perfect pass to Sr Doug Rosa in front who slid it near post for the 2-0 lead. Just six minutes later Sr Nate Pomeroy broke down the left side, cut in and sent a perfect pass to the penalty spot where Sr Alex Murphy placed in perfectly into the lower corner, 3-0. Jr Nick Fordham's hard work resulted in a late goal from a Brogan Walsh's pass and the game ended 4-0. GD received great play from Eric Stone, Mike Keating Tim Hilbrunner and Game MVP Dan McGuinness. Groton Dunstable improves to 10-2-2 overall and travel to Hudson on Thursday night for a 7pm Midland league game. Dracut fall to 7-3-3 overall.
