Westford, MA - Sr Midfielder Peter Hurley hit a blast from 40 yards away just 5:10 into the contest to give the Grey Ghosts of Westford Academy a lead they would never give up Tuesday Afternoon. GD played well the first 20 minutes controlling play and setting up some good scoring chances. Westford began to make the game more physical as teams went to the break 1-0. Just 7:32 into the second stanza Westford's Kyle Pilachowski won the ball in offensive 3rd from a GD defender and broke in down the endline and finished by hitting GD Keeper Chris Buzan's leg which redirected into the goal for the 2-0 lead. Westford continued to be the aggressor and 2 minutes from the close Ian Logan brought a ball down off his chest, then hit it off the bounce from 25 yards lobbing the ball over the head of Keeper Chris Werner the 3-0 lead. Westford improve to 2-0 overall while GD fall to 1-1 overall and travel to Quabbin Regional Thursday for a 4pm Midland B league matchup verses the Panthers (0-0-2).
