Lunenburg, Ma – Sr. Forward Kyle Romich received a pass from Jr. Forward Nate Pomeroy and dribbled across the top of the 18 box and drove a low shot past Belchertown Keeper Zach Parson’s in the 12th minute of play and produced the only goal and the eventual game winner tonight. The Crusaders outshot the Orioles 11-1 in the 1st half but failed to get the 2nd goal. In the 2nd stanza GD continued pressure but failed to convert some great chances. Belchertown rallied with 3 corner kicks in the last 5 minutes but fail to draw even on those chances. GD advance to its first State Championship in the last 10 years and improve to (19-1-1) overall. Belchertown finishes their season at (15-2-2). The Crusaders will play Concord Carlisle (16-4-2) who defeated Sandwich 2-1 on Saturday night at 5:30pm at Worcester State College for the 2011 State Championship Crown…………
