Groton, MA - JV Boys improve their overall record to 5-0-0 with a hard

fought 2-1 victory over the Westboro Rangers. Ryan Hardy broke through

the right side of the defense and fired a ball across the goal box

where Brogan Walsh came out of no where and in a full slide volleyed the

ball into the back of the net to put GD ahead early in the first half.

Nashoba equalled things up late in the 1st half sending us to halftime

with a 1-1 tie. A change in formation opened up the midfield for Tim

Hillbrunner, who took advantage of some space and fired a dart past the

Westborough goalkeeper. Hillbrunner's goal proved to be the game winner

but the victory really should be credited to the defensive play in the

second half. MVP goes to Tim Hillbrunner and Evan Pfenninger.

The JV team travel to Quabbin thursday for a 4 pm Mid-Wach B matchup.
