Tygress

Like a tygress

You tore out my heart

Then casually tore it apart

It was poetry at first sight

I could think about you

All night

You told me to get a job

And I wanted to by God

I wanted to do anything

To impress you

God knows

I wanted to undress you

But instead

I became sullen and withdrawn

Went from kingpin

To a pawn

I did get you alone

But there were no curtains

To be drawn

I deeply admired you

My insanity tired you

I threw my toys out the pram

You chose another man

Your blessed friendship

Was always part of the plan
