Selfish Jeans

We all seek to be loved

For the best motives

But equally seek

To be desired for the most selfish

We wish our lover

To respect our subjectivity

But also to be

That Obscure Object of Desire

Not a sister or a brother

We wish to measure up

And slim down

To be the brightest

Biggest Peacock

To have the brightest frock

We all seek attention

When our Privates are On Parade

Speaking as

A Secret Drinker of Lemonade

Let me confess that I fantasise

About being paid

But that the objectification involved

Makes me quite afraid

Modern types encourage 'exploration'

Of such themes

But freedom is not what it seems

Ones desires can lead one to exploitation

Reality often doesnt live up

To expectation
