Royal Park. No More.

All around me

They are demolishing The Old Schools

But not to replace them

With New Schools

But to put up

Poorly designed Luxury Flats

To house the children of fat cats

I don't mourn the Old School

Those years were cruel

But I surprised myself

By my soft sentiment

At all that crumbled brick and cement

I always wished that someone would smash the place

Right now though

In place of my anger

Is an empty space

Henceforth, Royal Park will just be a pub

For beer and grub

Sat opposite

Drinkers will take a break

Thinking little

Of its one time
