The word this week in kanji is waremokō (great burnet) for those who want to practice their calligraphy.
Here is a relatively simple sketch of a Great Burnet for practice.
The technique I used is called bokusai-ga, mostly black sumi with some color. The paper I used here is so absorbent that I lost the legs of the bee. My scanner turned the blossoms much darker than in my painting.
