Award Requirements

• You must attain the Trekker Badge and possess a valid Standard First Aid certificate.

• You must complete a Skills & Fundamentals Assessment before embarking on the Venture Challenge Course (VCC).

Complete ONE of the following: 

1. Venturing Challenge Course (VCC) is a 3-day / 2-night expedition challenge focusing on “Self-Reliance, Initiative, Leadership & Teamwork”.

The VCC is a residential, outdoors activity-based, leadership assessment conducted by the Venture Scout Programme Team. You will be assessed on your leadership, teamwork and demonstrate above average level of proficiency in the area of Adventure and Outdoors. In addition, you are required to demonstrate self-reliance, initiative, responsibility, fitness and exemplary level in fulfilling the Scout Promise and Law. 

OR

2) Complete the Outward Bound School 21-Day Leadership and Service Challenge.

Record your experiences in your journal. You must complete the Trekker Badge before applying for either Course. You must pass a Skills & Fundamentals Test before commencing either Course.
