Citizenship and Global Awareness
1. National Pledge
Articulate what you understand from the National Pledge and how you live out the aspirations espoused in the Pledge.
2. International Friendship
Complete any ONE of the following
(a) Make friends with a Scout who has been to an International Scout Exchange Activity and record your findings in your Journal.
(b) Make friends with a Scout from another National Scout Organisation and find out more about Scouting in his or her country.
Adventure and Outdoor
1. Emergency Preparedness I
Attain the Emergency Preparedness Tier 3 Proficiency Badge.
Scouts who did not attain the Emergency Preparedness Tier 1 and Tier 2 Proficiency Badges should be able to demonstrate their proficiency in those two tiers. Patrol Leaders and Scouts who have attained the badges should guide them in understanding the content of these two tiers.
2. Core Scouting Activities
Play an active role in at least THREE Core Scouting Activities with your Patrol on a regular basis. At least one of the activities should be an outdoor activity of an adventurous nature lasting about SIX hours.
3. Pursuing Interests I
Attain a Pursuit Badge of your choice. Discuss with your Scout Leader before making your choice.
Service and Community
1. A Good Deed A Day
Maintain a Good Deeds Journal for at least one week. You should be able to explain to your Patrol Leader the importance and impact of your act.
Sports and Physical Recreation
1. Interest in Sports
Attain a Sports-themed Pursuit Badge (Activity or Proficiency) of your choice.
2. Physical Fitness Goal I
Improve on your NAPFA Test. You should discuss with your Patrol Leader or Scout Leader on your goals and your training plan. Explain how maintaining a balanced diet and sufficient sleep are included in your plan.
Inspirations, Beliefs and Attitudes
1. I Promise to Act
Explain to your Patrol Leader or Scout Leader how the Scout Promise and Law can be a part of your daily life.
2. Let’s Celebrate
Research with another Scout (preferably of another faith) on TWO religious practices or festivals of your respective faiths celebrated in Singapore. Present your findings to your Patrol.

How are they celebrated?
What are some similarities and differences?
What is the significance of these religious practices or festivals to their community?
Creative Pursuits
1. Creative Pursuits I
Attain a Creative-themed Pursuit Badge (Activity or Proficiency) of your choice.
At the end of Discoverer Award, Unit Leaders should assess that Young Persons should have made significant progress towards achieving each of the following educational outcomes, prior to awarding the badge.
