PART A
Choose any FOUR of the following activities:
1. Know the different modes you can use on your camera or handphone and when each should be used. Demonstrate some of these modes such as panorama or night mode.
2. Composition:
• Fill the frame – Take a photo of your subject, then get closer to the subject and take another photo. Which do you prefer and why?
• Rule of thirds – Imagine your frame is divided into 3 sections horizontally and vertically. Take a photo with your subject on one of these lines or intersections. Your camera or mobile phone may have an option to show these lines on screen.
• Leading lines – Use lines such as a path to draw attention to your subject.
3. Lighting: Take 3-5 photos under different lighting conditions (eg. natural, artificial, low light, and the magic hours:- Golden hour is one hour before sunset, while blue hour is one hour after)
4. Theme: Take 3-5 photos that fit a theme (e.g. nature, texture, colour)
5. Story: Take 3-5 photos that tell a simple story
6. Portrait: Take a portrait photo of someone in your six. Focus on the eyes, use natural lighting, and keep the background simple
7. Up Close: Use macro mode to capture close up details of your subject such as a flower or an insect
8. Movement: Capture a moving subject
9. Exploration: Go on a short walk with your six. Take photos along the way. Discuss what you chose to take photos of, and why.
10. Editing: Using the photo editing software on your handphone or computer (there are many free apps available) improve the image by adjusting the brightness, contrast, saturation, or other details. Explain why you chose these edits.
PART B
Choose any THREE of the following activities:

Exposure -- aperture (f-stops), shutter speed, depth of field
Composition -- rule of thirds, leading lines, framing, depth

Explain the basic parts and operation of a film camera or digital camera, and how an exposure is made when you take a picture.

Produce a photo story using the photojournalistic technique of documenting an event, then select 12 photographs, then mount the prints on a poster board and arrange them in order. If you are using digital images, you may create a slide show on your computer or produce printouts for your poster board. Share your photo story with your pack.
