Adventure and the Outdoors
1. Navigation and Exploration
Complete the following requirements, towards either the Navigator or Explorer Activity Badge:
Towards the Navigator Activity Badge
(a) Know at least 8 map symbols and be able to find them on an Ordinance Survey or Topographical Map.
(b) Find two Places of Interest using a Street Directory or Travel Map.
(c) Know the 8 points of the compass and use them to play a game.
Towards the Explorer Activity Badge
(a) Make a list or infographic of how to dress appropriately for a hike and make a list of what to bring along.
(b) Explain the safety precautions to take when going for a hike outside of your school.
(c) Go on a short hike with your pack.
2. Cooking and Campcraft
Complete the following requirements towards Camper Activity Badge
Cooking
(a) Make a list or infographic of how to safely light a fire using a portable stove and solid fuel.
(b) Cook a healthy meal with a solid fuel fire.
Campcraft
(a) Write down a list of tips on how to take care of a dome tent and help to pitch, strike, and pack a dome tent with your Six.
(b) Spend at least two nights under a tent. May be completed in separate camps.
Knotting
(a) Learn how to tie at least 2 knots and state their uses. Use these knots to play a game.
(b) Design and build one camp gadget.

(a) Show you know how to behave as a pedestrian by demonstrating the kerb drill.
(b) Make a list or infographic of some tips on how and where you can cross the road safely.

Complete any two requirements towards the Community Living Badge.
Science and Nature
1. Exploring the Natural World
Complete these requirements towards ONE of the following badges:
(a) Choose three experiments and demonstrate them to your Leader, explaining any conclusions you have made.
(a) Find out and present some information about TWO of the following:
Comets, Meteorites, Asteroids, Northern Lights, Sun Spots, Light Years, Eclipses, Black Holes, Space Exploration.
(a) Draw and label the parts of a seed and list the conditions for germination.
(b) Grow a plant and chart its growth over two weeks from the day of germination.
(a) Make a poster to show the life cycle and habitat of any animal.
(b) Explain how the animal chosen interacts with its ecosystem.
Interests
1. Pursuit Badges
Attain a Pursuit Badge of your choice. Discuss with Akela before making your choice.
Creative Pursuits
1. Creative Pursuits
Complete these requirements towards ONE of the following badges:
(a) Contribute to and take part in a skit, mime, puppet show or any other gang show, concert, band or theatrical stage performance.
(a) Take part in a performance by singing or playing a musical instrument.
Journalist Activity Badge
Complete any ONE of the following:
(a) Write a story or report with a photograph in your logbook.
OR
(b) Contribute a story or report with a photograph to your personal or Pack blog.
Complete any ONE of the following:
(a) Choose a topic or theme that interests you then create a digital slideshow featuring 12 of your photographs and share it with your pack or upload it and share it publicly.
OR
(b) Produce a photo story featuring 12 of your photographs, using the photojournalistic technique of documenting an event. Make a video clip or mount the prints on a poster board and share the story with your pack.
(a) Make something useful using a craft method that is new to you or build a model to a good standard.

Scout Family
