Choose any three of the following activities:
Explain how the animal chosen interacts with its ecosystem.
Explore the insect life of a particular area and be able to identify some of the types of insects you find.
Identify six butterflies and or moths and show your Akela a diagram of their life cycle that you have drawn.
Keep a record of birds you have spotted over one month and be able to identify at least five wild birds by their call or appearance.
Make a poster to show the life cycle and habitat of any animal.
Make a survey of a nature reserve or park area and be able to identify at least six species of plants. Draw some of these and display them in your journal.
Make a survey of a pond, river, stream or seashore and be able to identify some animal, insect or plant life that you find.
