Badge Requirements

Bronze 

Complete ALL of the following activities:-

1. Write a report about ONE of the following, then upload it to your unit blog or website, or post it in a prominent place such as on a school notice board:
   (Include a series of photographs with captions)
   
   • A Scout event that you recently participated in. 

• A local place of interest that you recently visited. 

• A special good turn that you or your Six carried out for someone in need.

2. Make friends with a Cub Scout from another Pack. Find out what Scouting is like in their pack and write a journal entry about it. Include a photo of you and your friend.
   
   

3.  Interview a friend or neighbour of a race or culture other than your own. Write about their traditions, customs, practices and the annual festivals they participate in.
   (Include some photographs and captions)

Silver 

Complete ALL of the following activities:

1. Interview someone in your area who helps people. Talk to them about their work, their family, and what they like to do in their free time. Share this live recording on your pack’s blog, web page, or any other suitable online platform.
   
   

2. Share via an online platform, in a novel and creative manner, about a Cub Scout event that you have participated in. You may wish to include photo’s, videos, music or other graphics.
   
   

3. Attend a Jota/Joti (Jamboree on the Air/Jamboree on the Internet), or attend a combined activity with an International Scout group. Chat with a Cub Scout from another country and write a report about what Scouting is like in their country/ or interview them live. Share with your Akela or Six.
   
   

4. Find out about a career opportunity in journalism (Education, training, and experience required) and explain why this profession may or may not interest you.
