The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) and Singapore Scout Association (SSA) with signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 9 July 2022.
CPIB has developed a self-run programme to equip Scouts with basic knowledge of corruption, its consequences, and importance of combating corruption.
Scouts will learn how values like honesty, integrity & fairness can eradicate corruption which is similar to our Scout Promise and Laws.

Upon confirmation of registration, relevant teaching materials will be shared to Leaders via email.
Duration: Approx. 3 hours
By the end of the programme, Scouts should:
Recognise what corruption is, its consequences, and the importance of combating corruption;
Understand how values like honesty, integrity & fairness can eradicate corruption; and
Apply what they have learnt from the presentation through application activities.
The session will cover the following:
Presentation & Application:
Equip Scouts with basic knowledge of what corruption is, its consequences, and importance of combating corruption.
Educate Scouts on how values like honesty, integrity & fairness can eradicate corruption.
Encourage Scouts to do their part to fight corruption by exemplifying honesty & fairness in their daily lives.
Enable Scouts to apply what they have learnt from the presentation through application activities.
Activity Part (i): Knowledge Quiz
Educate Scouts on how corruption is uncovered and why it is not always easy to spot corruption.
Educate Scouts to apply the 3Rs (Recognise, Reject, Report) to combat corruption.
Activity Part (ii): Case Study Discussion & Presentation
Encourage Scouts to think about how the case studies given defy the Scout promise and law.
Encourage Scouts to think further about the far-reaching consequences of corruption in the case studies.
Assessment Quiz
Tests Scouts' overall understanding of corruption at the end of the programme.
Scouts to share on their reflection/takeaways from the programme.
Following the session, Scouts will need to share what they learned about corruption with their peers in school, to earn their Anti-Corruption Badge.
Choose either Option 1 or 2:
Option 1
Scouts can create educational materials based on what they learned about corruption at the Anti-Corruption Programe (e.g. posters, song/comic strip, drawing, video presentation, skit).
Leaders/Scouts will need to display these creations on their school's Character & Citizenship Education corner/board/Social Studies corner/CCA room/School or CCA social media account.
*Photo-proof must be taken by Leader and submitted to SSA, attached with Scout's full name for verification.
Option 2
Scouts can conduct a sharing with their peers (in class or during school assembly) based on what they learned about corruption at the Anti-Corruption Programme.

At the end of the programme, Leaders are to submit their Unit's Results Form here.
Leaders will be informed via email once the badges are ready for collection.
