Award Requirements
To be eligible for nomination, a Scout is required to have completed the following requirements:
Voyager Badge (Revised Criteria)
Current registered member of SSA
Nominated by the Group Scout Leader or Scout Leader, and endorsed by the Sponsoring Authority.
The candidate must turn 16 years old on or before 31 December of the year of assessment.
The candidate should not exceed 16 years old on the year of assessment.
*Candidates who do not meet the any of the above must write in to youthaward@scout.sg to seek approval.
Revised Criteria (Estimated Completion Time - 3 Months)
The revised criteria applies to new Scouts who join from 2025 onwards:
Service and Community & Leadership and Interest
1. Chief Scout Service Project
Study the needs of a community and design a service project. Conduct the activity with the aid of members of your Patrol or Troop who are completing their Explorer Award; the Chief Scout's Award (CSA-Scout) Candidate must lead the project.
No more than one CSA-Scout Candidate may receive credit for working on the same service project.
The Project should last no less than THREE months, including the conceptualisation, planning, executing and conclusion of the project, and be supported by a Scout Leader. The execution of the project should take at least EIGHT hours over at least FOUR separate occasions.
*NOTE: 2026 Nominees may follow the previous scheme. Hence, the Chief Scout Service Project requirement can be skipped for this year.
