Artist (Cub)

Badge Requirements

• Know the primary colours and demonstrate how to mix paints to make other colours.
  
  

• Find out what art or design courses are available at any institutes of higher learning (eg Polytechnics or Universities) and how you might work towards a course you may be interested in.
  
  

• Choose THREE activities from the list below, one of which must be done in your Leader's presence:

a) Make a design, cut it out and print it on paper or fabric (e.g. using potato or linocuts).
b) Design and make a decorated book cover or paper bag.
c) Design and make a greeting card.
d) Design an illustration or caricature as your pack mascot.
e) Design a badge for a pack anniversary, camp or event.
f) Make a poster advertising Cub Scouting or a Cub Scout event.
g) Draw an original illustration of any incident, character or scene using a pencil, brush, pen or crayon.
h) Draw or paint a picture from real life observation.
i) Any other suitable activity agreed with your Akela.
