a) Find out about and write notes about the proper elements of a good motion picture: visual storytelling, rhythm, the 180-axis rule, camera movement, framing and composition of shots.
b) Find out about the cinematographer's role in the moviemaking process.
c) Visit a film set or television production studio or sound stage and watch how production work is done.
Find out about a career opportunity in cinematography (education, training, and experience required) and explain why this profession might interest you.
Do the following:
a)In a three- or four-paragraph treatment, state the Scouting skill you plan to film which is to be used to train a new Scout, making sure that the treatment conveys a visual picture.
b)Prepare a storyboard for your training video (this can be done with rough sketches and stick figures).
c)Shoot the short training video using at least three of the following motion-picture shooting techniques:
i)Using a tripod
ii)Panning a camera
iii)Framing a shot
iv)Shooting at an angle
v)Creative lighting
vi)Handheld shooting
