Badge Requirements

• Be able to recognise at least 20/40 of the aircraft in the list.

• Complete ONE of the following activities:

(a) By yourself or with another Scout, take photographs or collect pictures of 10 different aircraft types (2 combat, 2 military transport, 2 helicopters, 2 commercial airlines, 2 light aircraft). Name the different types and their uses.

(b) Visit an airfield or airport. For an hour, record the aircraft you have spotted (minimally 5), and include the type and its uses.

• Explain what an aircraft registration prefix is. Identify what is Singapore’s aircraft registration prefix. Find out the IATA code and ICAO code for Singapore Airlines and what are they used for.

• Name at least THREE flying clubs in Singapore that offers flying courses and trainings. Identify what type of aircrafts are they using and which airfield are they flying at.

• Present your findings in a journal using the Word Document template that is provided which includes item No.1.
