As of 2025, the Baden Powell Award (BPA) has been re-designated as a “social impact/inspirational” award
for youth members/young leaders aged 21 to 30 years old.
This is to honour Baden Powell’s final message to all Scouts which states, “Try and leave this world a little better than you found it”
and to align with our movement’s desire to “Create A Better World”.
Do you know of any Scout who has put their talents, energy and experiences to try and make this world a better place?
Someone who has helped other troubled young people to turn their lives around?
Has started volunteer group(s) to make a difference in the community?
Has played a key role in addressing any pressing social/national/global issues?
We are looking for Scouts who have made significant impact on others.
*A panel consisting of SSA & Community/Professional Leaders will interview nominees and propose candidates to the Scout Council for the awarding of the BPA.
