The subject of this photograph is a landscape of rocks and bridges at Pineland farms. The materials I used were photoshop, transparency paper, light sensitive fabric, sunlight, and water. To create this photograph I first chose a landscape image that I liked, then I turned it into a negative using photoshop and transparency paper, then I put the negative on top of the light sensitive fabric and waited 12 minutes for it to print in the sunlight, finally I put the fabric in cold water for 5 minutes. I chose to create this photograph because I like how the rocks create a path and leading line across the image. The elements of art that I used were value and line. The principles of design that I used were contrast and rhythm/ movement. The composition rules/ techniques that I used was informal balance. This project relates to my life because a lot of my art includes flowers/ the natural environment. The meaning behind this photograph is to go outside in nature and enjoy the world. If I could change anything about this photograph I would have taken it out of the sunlight a few minutes sooner so that it would have a fuller range of values.
