Personal Spirit Mask

Who are you? What makes you, you? I want you to choose a “spirit” that you think represents you. Create a mask representing your “spirit.” Materials and methods are completely open-ended. When completed, please write a reflection explaining your mask.

WRITTEN REFLECTION OF PERSONAL MASK:

For this mask I wanted to incorporate my love for music throughout the mask. Music is a part of my "spirit" because I couldn't imagine my life without it. I love to sing everyday and express my emotions through music. In this mask, I used different shapes included in music theory and sheet music. I used two G-Clefs for the shapes surrounding the eyes and then I used music notes and bar lines as a crown. I wanted to use bright colors to represent sound being loud and exhilarating with lots of energy. The lines protruding out of the side of the mask represent that sounds of music pouring out of the mask.
